What date is used to determine if a permanent resident is eligible for in-state tuition?
Q. Which date is used as the basis for eligiblity for non-resident status at colleges: 1) The USCIS reciept date (earlier date), or 2) The USCIS Green Card Issue Date (later date) After applying to several schools, most schools say it is #1, one school actually changed the status to nonresident, and one school stubbornly insists that it is #2 above. This happens to be the first pick of colleges, so we need to clear the residency hurdle and get instate tuition. 5 stars and best answer to the first person to show me the actual CA state or federal law that says it's #1 above and not #2 above. Thank you.

A. I don't think anyone here can answer your question as a given. You will have to abide by what the school you go to determines as your residency. Good luck!

What is the date used for calculating interset in a judgement payment in Illinois?
Q. When paying installment payments on a judgement in Illinois, what is the date used for calculating the interest? Is it the date the payment is mailed? The date recieved? Something inbetween? I know the interest amount and how to calculate the interest. I just need to know the date the court would recognize the payment is consedered tendered.
Asked by Anon_1 - Fri Nov 24 14:39:39 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. There should be a "Due" date per the judgement, that is the date (So 15 of every month due date would mean that interest is calculated thereafter if not received).

What date is it okay to start getting touchy feely?
Q. This is from a guy not nicky. I recently went on a first date and we seem to have hit it off really well. So we have a second date coming up and I was wondering if that would be to soon to start. Also at what point is it to late, meaning I've missed the opportunity?

A. "Wait a few months until you get into the real stuff." -- Oh hell, no. Some girls are fast and ready to get frisky on the 2nd date, while others want to take it slow and go one step at a time. If she's hot to trot and you make a move she won't stop you. OTOH, if she tells you that she's not ready, tell her that you respect that. In my first LTR, after our 1st date, we parked and made out, including breast-touching and dry-humping. I'm not saying you should move that fast... but don't come across like a cold fish, either.

How accurate is the estimated date for removal on my Transunion report?
Q. I have two negative items on my credit report. The first is an old hollywood video account, which according to my Transunion report, the estimated date for removal is June 2009, the estimated date for removal on the other account is March 2009 (this month) In your experience, how accurate are those removal dates?

A. If those are the dates being reported by Transunion, then they are accurate. Negative items are dropped from all credit reports in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act which states the following: "A bad debt can stay on your report for seven years. Because most wait six months to charge off a debt, that winds up being seven years and six months after the first delinquency. The clock starts when the original account goes into collections (internal or a third party) or is charged off (which ever is earlier), according to the FDCPA. Even if the debt is sold and resold to third party collectors, it still has to come off your credit report when the original debt reaches it s expiration date." This is as written under Running of… [cont.]

They also did it by who was Consul at the time ("In the second year of Scipio's Consulate") That's how most ancient civilizations did it, "The 4th year of the reign of Tutmose" or the "In the 6th year of the reign of Mursulis". This would be a lot like saying "The World Trade Center was attacked in the ninth month of the first year of Bush's Presedency" or "During the third year of the Lyndon Johnson Administration, Marines were landed at Da Nang in South Vietnam". It works, but you have to remember who was king when and for how long. For most people it works just fine, kings tend to stick around… [cont.]

What does the date of issuance on a loto scratch card entail?
Q. I noticed that most of the scratch cards say they have to be redeemed "within 12 months from the date of issuance." As I didn't find any dates printed on the card, does this date mean the date of purchase, or the date of printing? If the latter, how do you find out when that was if it's not marked on it?
Asked by jaipex - Thu Dec 3 13:35:23 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Not sure where youre getting the card from In the UK a lotto scratchcard has a redeem by time of about 12 months from the cards termination date - ie the date the version of card can no longer be sold to the public, you. In this effect you can safely assume you have a year from the moment you buy the card to claim

A. I think cosmetic companies should put expiry dates on their products! Anyway the rule of thumb is that if it smells funny, throw it out (like what you did). I read somewhere that powdered products last a year, liquid stuff lasts 3-6 months.

How to make tonight a date night in order to be able to watch sports this weekend?
Q. This weekend will be filled with sports on tv from MLB playoffs to college football to pro football. Tonight is a relatively light night for sports. A good night for a date-night. What would you say to your significant other to make this a date night so you can enjoy sports this weekend?
Asked by leo509 - Wed Oct 10 13:55:39 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The way I see it you have three options. The first is the ideal: have a significant other that enjoys watching sports with you. Simple. Two: Get married and stop dating. Three: drop something heavy on your foot and break it, you'll be glued to the couch with good reason, although the pain meds might dull your enjoyment of the games. Seriously though, just be honest. Tell your partner that there are great sports this weekend, but your date night are impotant to you, and that you don't want to sacrifice one for the other. That should buy you a good Wednesday night date.

What exactly is the difference between a date and hanging out?
Q. a friend and i are deciding to try a date. we usually just hang out, but he decided we'd make the next time we hang out a date, and we both agree on the date. we're going bowling and getting a bite to eat, something perfectly normal, so I'm not quite entirely sure how to differentiate it with just hanging out. I know this probably seems like a stupid question, but I'm curious.
